The band

The Mist From The Mountains was formed in Finland in 2020 by musicians whose roots run through …And Oceans, Alghazanth, Black Beast, Rapture and Scorgrain.

The songs begin as sketches on a twelve-string acoustic guitar and grow into long, layered pieces: melodic and folk-tinged black metal with a progressive streak, in the line of nineties Nordic masters. The Finnish wilderness and the hard turning of its seasons run through the music and the words alike.

The debut Monumental – The Temple of Twilight arrived in 2022. Portal – The Gathering of Storms followed in 2024, both on Primitive Reaction.
